The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has a couple of version exclusives, including Legendary Pokémon. Don’t worry! Due to the online play of Sword and Shield, a random player or a friend can help you get the Legendary Pokémon not native to your game. On top of that, you can remember up to three encounters, meaning you can save a Pokémon (even not found in your game normally) and hunt it anytime you want or host it yourself!
Now with Pokémon HOME being out, you might be able to do trades over the GTS that seems more difficult back during the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y era. Vivillon was introduced in Generation 6 and encouraged GTS and Wonder Trades. Vivillon’s forms were decided through the region originally set on the 3DS, so trading is your best way to collect them all.

Pokémon Sword and Shield introduced another thing to collect in the Pokémon World. Marks are like Ribbons, they appear on the Ribbon tab for a Pokémon, but cannot be earned like a Ribbon can. Instead, Marks appear on any Pokémon caught in the wild. These Marks do not appear on Egg Pokémon or Raid Pokémon.

Everyone loves the Apricorn Balls that were introduced in Johto back in Pokémon Gold & Silver. These unique balls returned to Pokémon Sword/Shield through both Ball Guy and the Champion’s Cup rewards. There is now another way in Sword/Shield to get these Apricorn Balls and that is via the Cram-o-matic. There seems to be a 1% chance of getting the special Poké Balls by putting your Apricorns into it.
